Can an integrated mobility approach drive better transport outcomes for Local Authorities?
An approach to uncovering savings, efficiencies and service enhancement in LTA transport provision. Oxfordshire and Cambridgeshire County Councils are both seeking ways to provide better services for their clients, and get more out of their budgets, particularly in the areas of Adult Social Care and Children's Services.
Aside from identifying cost reductions and making better use of available vehicles, the project will also look for any potential opportunities associated with Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions.
We're working closely with council staff across a range of departments to understand how transport provision is currently managed, where there may be overlaps or gaps, and where the potential for service improvements or major savings may lie.
While we expect to find specific areas for efficiencies for each of the two councils, we'll also be looking at where the two councils may be able to make common improvements to processes leading to the outcomes sought.
This research piece led to the thinking behind the development of our first co-created product Shepherd and has driven savings where the recommendations have been adopted.
